FAQs
Why Indoor Air Quality Matters for Your Business
Poor air quality in a building rarely announces itself. It shows up as staff complaining that meeting rooms are stuffy, afternoon headaches and tiredness, more sick days, guests mentioning a smell in their review, or tenants reporting mould. Left alone, these problems cost money in lost productivity, complaints and damage to your reputation.
Employers also have a legal duty: the Workplace (Health, Safety and Welfare) Regulations 1992 require enclosed workplaces to be ventilated with a sufficient supply of fresh or purified air. The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) says CO2 levels consistently above 1,500 ppm in an occupied room indicate poor ventilation.
We measure what’s really happening in your building, find the cause and give you a clear plan to fix it.

Who We Work With
Our Commercial Services
Mould specialists and indoor air quality experts in one, so you’re not coordinating several contractors for air, ventilation, mould, damp and odour.
- Commercial mould inspection: finding the extent and cause of mould, with air sampling and laboratory analysis
- Commercial mould removal: safe, professional removal with anti-mould protection, planned around your opening hours
- Workplace air quality testing: CO2, VOCs and formaldehyde, fine dust, humidity and temperature
- CO2 and ventilation monitoring
- Ventilation solutions
- Odour investigation, including drain and sewage smells and smells from neighbouring units
- Commercial odour control: odour treatment and ozone treatment for rooms, void properties and vehicles
- Thermal imaging and draught surveys
- Industrial drying after leaks and floods

Commercial Mould Inspection and Removal
Mould is our core specialism. In offices, schools, care homes, hotels and rental properties it damages buildings, triggers complaints and can affect the health of staff, residents and guests, and it always comes back if the cause isn’t found.
We inspect and measure to find out why the mould is there (condensation, poor ventilation, a leak or damp), take air samples for laboratory analysis where needed, then remove it safely and apply protective anti-mould treatment. Work is planned around your opening hours, including evenings and weekends, and you receive a written report for your records.

Managing several buildings?

Supporting Your Health and Safety Responsibilities
Our reports give you measured, documented evidence to support your health and safety and property management obligations, including:
- Workplace ventilation: the Workplace (Health, Safety and Welfare) Regulations 1992 and HSE guidance on using CO2 monitors
- Rented homes: the Homes (Fitness for Human Habitation) Act 2018 and, for social housing, Awaab’s Law on damp and mould
- Insurance claims: moisture readings and drying records after leaks and floods (see insurers and loss adjusters)
We’re indoor air quality specialists, not legal advisers, but our reports give you the facts you need to act and to show you’ve acted.

What our customers say
“I contacted several companies but their prices were incredibly high. Intra Air offered a very reasonable quote and, when they arrived and found the job was bigger than expected, they honoured the original price without question. The work was completed the following week while others wanted one to two weeks just for an inspection. The team were polite, responsive and even arranged a complimentary indoor air quality inspection afterwards. I could not be happier and would highly recommend them.”
“We discovered a slow leak at our rental property and received quotes of around thirty thousand pounds just to remove the mould. Intra Air were a breath of fresh air. They came in, got the job done and kept us updated throughout a very stressful house move. They even repainted the walls so the property was literally back to normal. I am so grateful this is finally resolved. Thank you.”
“A big thank you to Emeka and the Intra Air team for their outstanding customer service and immaculate finish. The care and professionalism they brought to the job was impressive from start to finish. They certainly went the extra mile and I would not hesitate to recommend them.”
